It’s My Birthday!

“Happy Birthday to ME, Happy Birthday to ME! Happy birthday to myself… Happy Birthday to ME!”

Yep you guessed it, today’s my Birthday! I decided to celebrate it by 1). Working and 2). Posting a new website!

So I came to work today and there was confetti all over my desk – a bow on one of my monitors (I have two), and a present from Lynn. How sweet! I feel loved. Then some of the women came in with balloons and clipped them onto the handle of my desk and proceeded to hang “Happy Birthday” banners all over my office. Should’ve brought the digital camera today to prove it to all of you. lol You’ll just have to take my word for it.

On to #2 – my new site! What do you think of it? I’m really excited. To celebrate my birthday a little early (Monday), I went out and bought 60 gigs of webspace at Dreamhost. (Need some webspace? I’d recommend you go there! Oh, and tell them that tammiesprings.com referred you so I can get a kickback. lol) So now I host through two companies – Parcom and Dreamhost. Parcom has windows hosting complete with .net – that’s really why I went with them. I may be upgrading my account in awhile – but for now it meets my needs. Then with Dreamhost, I’m not sure what kind of hosting I have, but I can run PHP, mySql, Ruby on Rails, etc. This will stretch my programming a bit (kick me out of the VBScript rut I’ve been in) – which is a good thing. I’m a new convert to WordPress, and Dreamhost gives me everything I need to run that with.
