Glass Gash

So Tobin was driving guys home from youth last night, and this happened…

How you ask? Well apparently some guys were having a party. In their drunken stupor they tossed a glass beer bottle over the fence and hit Tobin’s car (the Brown Bomber). Tobin tried to figure out what happened and then the guys got up on the fence and cussing out Tobin threw another bottle right at him. It hit the edge of the door frame and ended up shattering - then hitting Tobin.

DSC00090I got a call from one of our youth that I better come up to the 76 station in Tukwila right away. Of course I assumed the worst and was relieved that it was only a laceration to the face. The police came, then the firemen came… They took down all the information and recommended that Tobin consider getting stitches. He wasn’t going to but by the time we got home and he looked at himself in the mirror he decided that maybe stitches weren’t such a bad idea after all. Actually Tobin had blood everywhere. He didn’t just get cut on his face. He also got cut all over his legs (though nothing as deep as his forehead). And that one on his forehead just bled and bled. When I first got there it looked like he had cuts on his eyebrow and under his chin there was so much blood on his face. Thankfully he didn’t get a shard of glass to his eye(s)!

So we drove to the ER at Renton and called up Terry and Christina on the way to let them know what had happened. They actually ended up getting to the ER at the same time we did. All of this started around 10:30. We probably made it to the ER by 11:30. T&C stayed until 12:30 when we were finally called in to get Tobin’s forehead sewn up… We made it out of the ER by 2am so needless to say we’re pretty tired today.

IMG_6330What I haven’t yet mentioned is that basically Tobin’s day yesterday was a really bad one. Not only did his forehead need stitches by the end of the day, but he also ended up cutting his fingernail in half in the paper cutter at his school.

Also, I should mention that while we were sitting at the gas station talking to the cops and the firemen, this car drove up to 99 and then stopped at the light (this was a road that crossed 99). He got out of his car and dropped something on the side of the road. Then rather than getting in his car and driving off, he proceeded to begin pushing his car across 99… The police were yelling at him to stop but he didn’t. Long story short, the cops went over to where he dropped whatever he dropped and found a massive bottle of alcohol. The guy was super drunk too… They were talking to the guy when we left. I guess the crazies come out at night!

I drove Tobin to school today as the Brown Bomber is full of glass (luckily a window didn’t get broken, it was just the beer bottle). But it also smells strongly of Corona since the bottle that was thrown at him wasn’t empty… These people!

Well that’s all… I’ve included the rest of the pics from last night below.

If you hadn’t cussed them out they wouldn’t have thrown the bottle…

Hey! Hey! Hey! I was a bit hot headed, however I made a point to control my language regarding profanity…what people chose to do as a result of what I say is STILL their choice! ;) *no sweat thought, I’m healing up nicely! lol*

I think it all started from the ‘pony’ keg at your own party. Looks like you can’t control your consumption either!! :) Hope you have a speedy recovery. I heard it didn’t slow you down at WILD WAVES!!!!!!!!
