So tonight, Tobin and I headed over to Fisher Plaza for the KOMO-TV Blogger Meetup. :) It was quite fun. Last year I drug Tobin along to a TechCrunch party that he felt a bit out of place at. But this time, he said he really enjoyed it. Everyone was really friendly.
I met a bunch of people including Eric Johnson (he’s the sports director for Komo and an anchor). Another blogger and I talked about how cool it is to blog, and how Eric’s really missing out by not blogging. :) Oh and how wonderful Wordpress is. Nearly all of the people I talked to at the meeting who had actually paid for hosting were running Wordpress. I thought that was pretty cool.
Tobin also ran into an old classmate from high school (how random is that?).
I am a regular reader of Sound Politics, and I saw Stefan at the party but didn’t get a chance to introduce myself. :( I did talk to one of the writers of horsesa**. lol
Also, Chris Pirillo was there… He had a laptop all set up with a webcam, mic, and internet (via a cellular network). He apparently has streaming video of him going ALL the time. That was kind of interesting. We spoke with some of his fans and I told them to be sure to check out my site. :)
It was pretty cool getting to talk to everyone. And the pics behind the anchor desk were pretty fun. :) Check out the photos I took here, and the full thread on Flickr here.
Thanks to Chris Ramos for taking all the photos that I’m in! :)

Good to see you at the meeup, Tammie. Since you like Sound Politics, you might also like Media Matters http://mediamatters.org/ :)

That WAS fun last night, your site looks GREAT!
Tammie -
It was fun meeting you last night. Lots of fun talking to Tobin as well. I hope he starts getting some use out of that WACOM tablet.
Cheers!
David
@Dan: Thanks for the link, I’ll have to check it out. Wasn’t the meetup fun? I’m already looking forward to the next (whenever that may be).
@Tobin: Thanks! Yeah I’m glad you’re now inspired to blog!
@David: I think you inspired Tobin to some extent. He says that he wants to start blogging more - maybe even with a sketch a day. We’ll see ’bout that WACOM tablet. :)
