Tobin started his first day of school yesterday, so as you can imagine, he spent most of this last weekend working on getting ready for that. Monday was no different, except for the fact that this time I went with him. We worked in his classroom ’till 2 or so - by which time I had finally convinced Tobin that he was as ready as he was ever going to be, and it was a holiday for me, and I wanted to do something fun! :) So we ran home, showered, and headed off to Dusty and Kristen’s house.

We were going to walk through the Washington Park Arboretum, but the boys didn’t feel like being athletic, so we ended up taking Samson up to the dog park at Marymoor Park. That was fun. Samson had a great time with all the other dogs, and we had fun watching him and watching Dakota take everything in. Dakota’s such a sweet little baby! :) I took a bunch of pictures (mostly of Dakota). It really looked like it was going to rain the whole time (and it was super muggy), but it didn’t (well until much later that night).

After the dog park, we headed back to Dusty and Kristen’s where Tobin BBQ’d salmon (yum!). We ate dinner outside and Dakota joined us for part of it. We had a good time catching up (we’ve had such a busy summer, we haven’t seen Dusty and Kristen in awhile).

We headed home at around 9 when it became apparent that Dakota was not going to go to sleep with all the excitement of us talking in the front room. :)

   Well some day you will be old, but I’m not sure you will ever be fat - OR be cooking apple pies (though you may prove me wrong on one or both accounts). Regardless, I do think I like Auntie Lou the best… But you’ve got a long time to figure that one out! :)

   I miss dusty and kristen and its nice knowing that they are doing well with their baby XD
