On my way out of work yesterday I drove down to the Des Moines marina, and snapped this pic (not with my nice camera, but with the little Cannon point and shoot that I always carry in my purse). I thought it turned out pretty well. :)

   Hey Tammie,
   I was trying to see if I could get my mom to get me a camera but I don’t remember which brands for a small digital camera are good? What brands are good? I was looking about a month ago at Circuit City and they had amazing pink one but I guess they don’t have much anymore. What stores do you think are good for cameras? What brands?

   Hi Vanessa. I would definitely recommend Canon. I bought our little point and shoot Canon from Costco. They have such a great return policy, that I really try and go with them. What is your price range? Our 10.1 megapixel cost around $350.

   Here are some current offerings from Costco:
   Canon SD1000 7.1MP 2.5″ ($200)
   Canon SD750 7.1MP 3.0″ ($240)
   Canon SD950 IS 12.1MP 2.5″ ($380)

   Oh, and this is my camera (man it’s come down in price so much!):
   Canon Rebel XT 8MP 1.8″ ($500)
   Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM ($420)
