Day two of Tobin’s Winter Break! Today we visited the Washington Park Arboretum. Another park I’d visited in the past (with my family), but Tobin hadn’t been there. I’ve just gotta say – I LOVE having GPS on our phones! It makes these day trips that much easier as we don’t really have to worry about if we can find the place or not. :)
We bundled up Evangeline and headed out around the park – there are a bunch of trails but we wanted to do a loop (which we did) out to the water and back. It was pretty cool – because it was a weekday we pretty much had the park to ourselves! Out at the water there was a pretty sweet boardwalk set up through the marsh/wet areas. I always think that is cool (reminds me of Lake Ozette which is REALLY cool and we might just have to go visit that this summer). Anyways, Evangeline had a blast – and we lucked out at the end of the park we found a bridge over 520 and enough sidewalks to get back to the car without having to backtrack.
Isn’t she sweet? :) A few more pics below…
