If you’re in the western United States, you should go outside RIGHT NOW and look at the lunar eclipse! :) That’s what we just did! lol
Yep, Tobin called up Terry & Stina and asked them if they wanted to come over at 3 this morning to see the eclipse. OK, so maybe it wasn’t exactly asking, but hey whatever he said worked, ’cause they did in fact show up at 3! We drove our cars up to McMicken Heights Elementary (where our church is meeting), and watched the eclipse.
Back when I had oodles of time I enjoyed working through Photoshop tutorials that I found across the web. I wish I still had that kind of time (not sure where it all went), but I did read a post at Photojojo about cool tutorials, and thought I’d give one a go. I learned a little about fill layers (I’d always done this a different way), so that was nice.

So tonight, Tobin and I headed over to Fisher Plaza for the KOMO-TV Blogger Meetup. :) It was quite fun. Last year I drug Tobin along to a TechCrunch party that he felt a bit out of place at. But this time, he said he really enjoyed it. Everyone was really friendly.
So last weekend was spent in the sun in good ol’ Ephrata. Yep, I caught a ride to Ephrata with Heather. She pulled her parent’s boat over (my parent’s boat needs some love).
So you can guess what we did… We took the boat out all day Saturday! :) Yep 5-6 hours in the wonderful sun on the water. Can it get any better than that? So my tan is a bit improved now… Gotta love EASTERN WASHINGTON!
Wow! Today was a huge day! I have a pounding headache, so I’m not going to write too much but to tell you that today I went to the San Diego Zoo. It was really cool! May (Tobin’s principal, Brett’s wife) was going to the zoo today so I tagged along. I saw lots and lots of animals, and took pictures of lots of them…
Well today I went on an adventure by bus. I took the Shuttle to the Conference Center where Tobin’s meetings are, rushed up the stairs of the train stop to buy a day pass, and then caught the bus to Frys and Walmart (about a half hour drive away). I bought a waterproof case at Frys and a thumb drive for Tobin (2 gigs, on sale for $19 and it’s a pretty sweet design with no parts you can lose!). Then I hoofed it over to Walmart and bought some sunglasses for Tobin, and a hat and a bunch of sunblock.
Well today I shopped but barely bought anything, and then we went on a tour of San Diego by trolley.
Well yesterday was Day 3 of our San Diego trip. We figured out the transit system enough to take us from Hotel #1 to Hotel #2, and then back downtown and back. Day tripper passes on the transit system cost $5, so I think we got our money’s-worth! :)
I’m pretty tired so I’m not going to write too much tonight… Today we went on a 2 hour harbor excursion, at lunch at a burrito place, took a tour of the Midway, went swimming (and almost crashed a wedding in our swimming suits – the ballroom is on the same floor as the pool), and ate dinner at the Kansas City BBQ (where the bar scene from Top Gun was filmed). My feet have blisters even though I wore my tennis shoes, but today was worth it. :) Tonight is our last night in the Hyatt, then we move North.
