On my way out of work yesterday I drove down to the Des Moines marina, and snapped this pic (not with my nice camera, but with the little Cannon point and shoot that I always carry in my purse). I thought it turned out pretty well. :)

She came to the realization that Basketball is going to basically dictate her life from now ’till March or so, and if she wanted to spend a weekend away from Salem, she was rapidly losing her chances to do so. Thursday, September 6th, 2007The first Thursday of the month is free night at the Seattle Art Museum, so Tobin and I headed up to Seattle and checked it out (another art field trip for his Master’s class).

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007Tobin started his first day of school yesterday, so as you can imagine, he spent most of this last weekend working on getting ready for that. Monday was no different, except for the fact that this time I went with him. We worked in his classroom ’till 2 or so – by which time I had finally convinced Tobin that he was as ready as he was ever going to be, and it was a holiday for me, and I wanted to do something fun! :) So we ran home, showered, and headed off to Dusty and Kristen’s house.
